Harvest Hands Ministries (HHM) is a Christian missionary organization that was founded in 1998. Our mission is to collaborate with individuals and organizations to serve God's children and spread God's love, both locally and globally.
Harvest Hands Ministries was established in 1998 by Dr. W.C. and Monte Ratchford.
While traveling to thirty different nations, they worked to train leaders and ignite a passion in the local church to share the love of Christ.
In 2016, Dr. Ratchford lost his wife, Monte, and was inspired to build an orphanage in her memory. He worked with Serving Orphans Worldwide to construct the orphanage in Tamil Nadu, India. The experience of building the orphanage highlighted the need for greater support for orphans and widows globally.
Dr. Ratchford dedicated himself to serving orphans and widows. He urged leaders to support those who were often neglected and overlooked. Thanks to his fundraising efforts additional facilities were built in Bangladesh, Mumbai, and Goma, Congo. In November 2023, Dr. Ratchford passed away leaving a lasting impact on many.
Dr. Ratchford passed the leadership of Harvest Hands Ministries to his grandson, Benjamin Ratchford, shortly before his death. HHM has a history of love and compassion that we are proud to continue, as we strive to be the hands and feet of Jesus for the generations to come.
Benjamin and Laura Ratchford possess more than twenty years of experience in both the educational system and church pastoral work. They are currently residing in Illinois with their two daughters, Gracelyn and Selah. Sadly, in 2022, their oldest son Zion passed away after battling leukemia. Despite the tragedy, they continue to live and share the message of God's hope and healing.
